The documents you need to apply to a Malaysian university

Preparing your documents early saves the most time. Requirements differ a little between universities and programs, and we confirm the exact list for the program you choose.

What is usually asked for

A valid passport, with a clear copy of the important pages.
Your high-school certificate or latest university degree, and the transcript.
Proof of English where it is required; some programs accept other proof or an English course at the university before the program.
Recent passport-style photos.
For postgraduate study: a CV and whatever letters or personal statement the university asks for.

Tips to avoid delays

Write your name the same way in every document, as in your passport.
Send clear scans or photos with every page readable.
Certificates may need translation and attestation by the official bodies in your country. We check the documents and their translation with you before applying.
Check that your passport will not expire soon, as some steps need longer validity.
